Level 3 Snow Emergency
Whenever a county/city within the Diocese of Toledo is placed under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, during which all roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel, the Catholic Churches within that geographic region will cancel the scheduled Saturday Vigil, Sunday, or Holy Day Masses. Roman Catholics in that region, therefore, are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass. When Mass is cancelled, all other diocesan, parish, or school events in that geographic region are also cancelled.
In these circumstances, we will try our best to alert you via Flocknote texts and emails as well as through our social media platforms of what is happening. Also, please be aware that the church will remain locked in these instances because our normal staff will also not be able to get to campus; so, please do not attempt to come to church anyway.
In those cases, we will try our best to still broadcast Sunday Mass online! Because in these instances Frs. Marty and Craig are also not allowed to travel, Mass will be broadcast and recorded on Gesu's Youtube Channel (if electricity and internet are available) so that you can still celebrate from home with us and keep holy the Sabbath Day. Please note: weekday Masses will not be broadcast.
